Pourquoi ?

Plain cooked chicken (no bones, no seasoning, no skin) is an excellent lean protein for dogs. It is used in virtually every commercial dog food formulation and is the gold standard protein for the bland diet prescribed during GI illness.

Raw chicken carries Salmonella and Campylobacter risk — not just for the dog, but for household members who handle the dog's food and bowls. Cooked chicken eliminates this risk entirely.

Cooked chicken bones are a serious hazard: cooking makes bones brittle and they splinter into sharp shards that can perforate the esophagus, stomach, or intestines. Raw bones are less brittle and less likely to splinter, but still carry bacterial risk. The safest approach is boneless cooked chicken only.
